Shopping

I'm am done shopping for gifts. Yay!  I still need to get food for the weekend but no more presents and I can hit Walmart or Smith's around 5 am before work tomorrow.
The kids have pretty well revamped their christmas list as usual.  When I shop in November their list has things they've pretty well forgotten about come christmas in which time they have a whole new idea of what they want.  The biggest problem with this is I don't have the time to wait until the last minute to find what they want.
This year I took the last week of december off.  I have a 9 day vacation!! Woohoo!  I'll be home with the rugrats to play with all the new toys next week.  So next year I'm going to schedule off the week before christmas and wait as long as possible before buying for my kids.  if i remember to do it that way, hehehe.
My son wants a bike that sits low to the ground and has handles on the sides of your hips, don't know what it's called yet but he just asked for it last night.  He rode one camping last summer and it's a lot of fun but I didnt know he wanted it over the new kinect.  so he'll have to live with the Kinect unless he wants to return it for $$ then buy the bike.  Money doesn't grow on trees after all.  At least not in my yard.
My two youngest girls made a habit of watching commercials and every time they see an ad for something they want they say "I want that"  it's been very annoying.  They think Santa will now they want everything and possibly bring it all.
This year will be a lesson in not getting most everything you've wished for.

Merry Christmas

It's been a busy month preparing for and enjoying this holiday season!  I love celebrating Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years because the memories we create keep the winter blues at bay.  I've only got 4 gifts to pick up!! One for dear hubbie, one for the whole family (so excited) and two for neighbors.

The kids are all taken care of gift wise.  My Littlest has been singing the songs she learned for her christmas program all last week and will probably continue this week.  Out of the blue she'll say "you want me to sing my christmas songs?" and away she goes actions and all.  It's wonderful!  We all sing along or listen with smiles from ear to ear.

Wow wow wow! It was great! I didn't get to post the day after as planned but we had the best time.  We had our photo taken with character cutouts. We recieved a lanyard, a plastic cup, eclipse pasta, a necklace, a vip pass, drink & popcorn and buttons!

We bowled for 30 minutes, ate pizza via a buffet and then headed over to collect our free goodies before entering the theater.  The seats were assigned and it was just awesome.

Kylie and I have seen it twice already!  If you haven't gone you should go.  It's my fav of the three so far.  Waiting for Breaking Dawn sucks already.  Ugh.  Luckily Harry Potter will be out in a few months.

Applebee's Gift Card                     Applebee's America: How Successful Political, Business, and Religious Leaders Connect with the New American Community

We went to Applebees for dinner to celebrate my oldest sister-in-law's birthday.  It was a great night.  Good food and a great time spent with my husbands side of the family.  I sat too close to Kindra however and endured 30 minutes of when is my food going to get here, then 30 minutes of this is the best food mom, then 20 min of when are we going to leave I'm bored.

Aside from Kindra's 3 year old attention span the dinner was fabulous.  I had the delicious Oriental Chicken Salad from the 2 for $20 deal which included 2 meals and an appetizer for $20! Austin got a steak dinner out of it and we had the chicken wing appetizer.  Deliscious!  While Kindra was enjoying her food she asked "We'll come back again right mom, cause I love it here".  Alyza and Kylie were too into talking and eating with their cousins to engage me in any conversation.

Travis didn't go because he was working late so we took him leftovers.  He was happy with that as he got loaded mash potatoes and a grilled cheese sandwich, haha.  While signing the birthday card for Kristy, Kindra said "Aren't you going to put money in the card?"  I bought her gifts so I told Kindra not this time.

Kristy's man Randy, bought her a pair of shoes two sizes two big!  LOL  He had looked at her sons shoes for her shoe size so she's got to exchange them. Lots of good laughs last night!

Pre Father's day Outing

MLB Bloopers: The Funny Side Of BaseballStrike 3, you're out!  Was heard by myself, my father and my 3 girls as we watched the SLC Bees game last night downtown.  It was a great game, starting out 0-0 until the 3rd inning.  The Bees were up 5-3 at the bottom of the 7th.  Then we went home and they lost 65 :-(   It's all Kindra's fault.  She got her shirt wet while using the drinking fountain.  Just the top of her collar below her chin mind you but she was not staying in a wet shirt even if grandpa Burnett was enjoying himself!  So we called it a night thinking the Bees would keep their lead.  It's less disappointing hearing about their loss than being there to witness it anyway.
Kindra of course blames me for not buying another soda.  She would have used a stray and not gotten a tiny bit of water on her shirt.
Last night was Kraft Kids night and my three girls got a free kids meal!  Hotdog, chips, and a small soda!  Love these types of savings especially cause I didn't know about it til just before we went to the game.  We recieved free tickets as we're Utah Jazz season ticket holders.  I went online to get the freeway exit info and found out about the free kids dinner! Thanks Kraft and SLC Bees!
My girls loved the free train ride available to them and the playground at the Sprint mobile ball park is really fun and clean!Hey, Soul SisterMelissa & Doug Stacking Train
All in all it was a great memorable night! By the way I love my DAD!  He inspired my love of sports.

Monsters vs. AliensTonight is Movie in the Park in beautiful downtown Ogden! If you're interested the movie it starts at 830 pm.  I love this great movie opportunity presented by Ogden City.  It's a great family night activity having the movie outdoors.
I enjoy this movie for lesson of rising above lifes challenges.  You never know whats in store for you but how you handle the challenges your given truly determines what blessings you'll recieve.
