Shopping

I'm am done shopping for gifts. Yay!  I still need to get food for the weekend but no more presents and I can hit Walmart or Smith's around 5 am before work tomorrow.
The kids have pretty well revamped their christmas list as usual.  When I shop in November their list has things they've pretty well forgotten about come christmas in which time they have a whole new idea of what they want.  The biggest problem with this is I don't have the time to wait until the last minute to find what they want.
This year I took the last week of december off.  I have a 9 day vacation!! Woohoo!  I'll be home with the rugrats to play with all the new toys next week.  So next year I'm going to schedule off the week before christmas and wait as long as possible before buying for my kids.  if i remember to do it that way, hehehe.
My son wants a bike that sits low to the ground and has handles on the sides of your hips, don't know what it's called yet but he just asked for it last night.  He rode one camping last summer and it's a lot of fun but I didnt know he wanted it over the new kinect.  so he'll have to live with the Kinect unless he wants to return it for $$ then buy the bike.  Money doesn't grow on trees after all.  At least not in my yard.
My two youngest girls made a habit of watching commercials and every time they see an ad for something they want they say "I want that"  it's been very annoying.  They think Santa will now they want everything and possibly bring it all.
This year will be a lesson in not getting most everything you've wished for.

Merry Christmas

It's been a busy month preparing for and enjoying this holiday season!  I love celebrating Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years because the memories we create keep the winter blues at bay.  I've only got 4 gifts to pick up!! One for dear hubbie, one for the whole family (so excited) and two for neighbors.

The kids are all taken care of gift wise.  My Littlest has been singing the songs she learned for her christmas program all last week and will probably continue this week.  Out of the blue she'll say "you want me to sing my christmas songs?" and away she goes actions and all.  It's wonderful!  We all sing along or listen with smiles from ear to ear.
